How to use it

The Monitor is a strong ship, with a lot of hitpoints a good range, and a big attack. This range makes the Monitor the only ship that is good against buildings, but it is vulnerable to other ships or land-based artillery. The Monitor is available in a limited number after reaching the Industrial Age.

History

Bomb ships or bomb ketches were made by removing the front masts of a warship to make room for one or more deck-mounted mortars. These ships could then bombard an enemy fortress from several miles away. The Star-Spangled Banner, the US national anthem, refers to such a bombardment.
